Finley

8-months-old, male

Lurcher

Finley is a beautiful 12 month old male Saluki lurcher. He needs a calm adult home. Typical Saluki, Finley tends to be shy around people he doesn’t know and will back off generally if people try to stroke him. However, he can be curious and if left alone will come up for a sniff and eventually let the new person stroke him. Finley gets on with other dogs and loves to play but he can resource guard over toys and food, probably due to never having toys to play with and having to fight for his food when he was a pup. Finley would suit a quiet household with few ‘comings and goings’. He would also benefit being around another dog which helps to give him confidence and he is generally much happier with dog company, But further time, training and understanding will be needed to help him understand how to share. He needs to be with people who understand the breed and that will be patient with him and allow him to gain confidence at his own pace.

Belle

Belle

5.5-years-old, female

SBT

Belle is looking for an experienced dog owner to work on her lead walking as she gets very frustrated and needs to learn to walk better by using positive training. She can be reactive to other dogs that get into her personal space and would benefit from further socialisation with other dogs in a controlled environment. Even with the above areas that need further work this girl is amazing and so happy and full of life. She will brighten up any family that adopt her and there will never be a dull moment.

crosby

Crosby

2-years-old, male

Terrier X

Crosby is a little bundle of joy. He loves his cuddles and could live with a well matched canine companion. Crosby has basic skills, but as a typical terrier, he is eager to learn so further training would be beneficial. He enjoys his walks and would need two good walks a day along with stimulation in the home to keep his mind occupied.

bruno

***Adopted***

Bruno

11-years-old, male

Terrier X

Bruno is looking for a retirement home where he can enjoy his daily walks then enjoy the rest of the day chilling and sleeping in the comfort of his new home. He needs a home with no other pets or children so he can enjoy the company of his human(s) all to himself. Bruno has recently undergone surgery to remove one of his eyes and in the future may potentially lose his other eye but we are hopeful this won’t happen for a while yet. He is adapting really well to being partially sighted and this does not affect his everyday life, he remains a happy little chappy

kana

Kana

18-months-old, female

Terrier X

Kana is young and excitable and is looking for an active home. She has a lot of energy and needs to be exercised at least twice a day and would even enjoy participating in something like flyball or agility. Kana is only young and has still got lots to learn so her new home would need to continue with her training in both learning new commands and with lead walking. She could live with a well-matched canine and older dog experienced children.
