Finley

Finley

8-months-old, male

Lurcher

Finley is a beautiful 12 month old male Saluki lurcher. He needs a calm adult home. Typical Saluki, Finley tends to be shy around people he doesn’t know and will back off generally if people try to stroke him. However, he can be curious and if left alone will come up for a sniff and eventually let the new person stroke him. Finley gets on with other dogs and loves to play but he can resource guard over toys and food, probably due to never having toys to play with and having to fight for his food when he was a pup. Finley would suit a quiet household with few ‘comings and goings’. He would also benefit being around another dog which helps to give him confidence and he is generally much happier with dog company, But further time, training and understanding will be needed to help him understand how to share. He needs to be with people who understand the breed and that will be patient with him and allow him to gain confidence at his own pace.

Belle

Belle

5.5-years-old, female

SBT

Belle has to be one of happiest staffies we have had with us. This poor girl has been through a tough time medically but is still smiling. When she came into us she was very reactive towards other dogs and was also very frustrated which she took out on her lead whilst walking but she has turned a corner and is now enjoying lead walking with not much pulling and is learning to not react when other dogs are around. Her new family will need to continue with her socialisation and will need to enjoy walking and the great outdoors as Belle loves nothing more than playing ball and running around. How could anyone resist that smile.

Kana

18-months-old, female

Terrier X

Kana is young and excitable and is looking for an active home. She has a lot of energy and needs to be exercised at least twice a day and would even enjoy participating in something like flyball or agility. Kana is only young and has still got lots to learn so her new home would need to continue with her training in both learning new commands and with lead walking. She could live with a well-matched canine and older dog experienced children.

Basil

Basil

5-years-old, male

SBT X

This handsome chap has was a little nervous when he first arrived in rescue but his personality is coming out now and he is a lovely lad. He loves playing on the agility equipment and would like a home where he can enjoy two good walks a day, he is good around other dogs so he could possibly live with a well-matched canine. He walks nicely on the lead and loves his time running around the field and getting lots of human cuddles, he has lovely manners and knows basic commands.

Lucky

***Adopted***

Lucky

1-year-old, male

JRT

Lucky is new to Pawprints, his initial assessments show him to be good around humans and he loves his cuddles but he is reactive to other dogs so would need to be the only dog in the home and socialisation will need to be worked on. He came into us with a skin condition which he is receiving treatment for and is responding well.

Eugene

Eugene

1-year-old, male

Collie

Eugene is now ready for adoption and is fully recovered from the dislocated hip he came into rescue with. Eugene loves people, cuddles and thinks he is a lap dog and will try and snuggle at every opportunity. He can be a bit nervous when he first meets new people but with a rub of those ears, it doesn’t take him long to relax and enjoy the fuss. Eugene is not showing any signs typical to the collie breed and is actually very scared around balls and toys and for this reason we feel an adult only home will be more suitable for him. He also feels safer in his crate so his new home would need to continue using a crate as his ‘safe space’ and allow him access to this throughout the day and night (door can be left open). He is great around other dogs and can possibly live with a well-matched canine companion.

Eric

Eric

male

JRT

**Eric is not currently up for adoption** A couple of weeks ago we were asked to assist on a welfare case and lo and behold we had 4 new arrivals. These dogs are previous pack mates of Ant and Dec so we knew they were going to be difficult. Fast forward 2 weeks and these semi – feral dogs are responding very quickly to us and we can handle 3 of them with relative ease already. Barry is proving to be a bit more difficult but he is starting to adjust. So please meet Eric.

Diana

Diana

18-months-old, Female

Lurcher

Diana came into rescue with a very bad injury to her foot and is currently receiving vet treatment for this but it is healing well. We are hoping she will be signed off from the vets very soon. She absolutely loves humans and he tail never stops whilst she is getting fuss and cuddles so she would like a home with humans that are around throughout the day. She is a very sweet natured girl, good with other dogs and has been fantastic when visiting the vets.

18-months-old, male

Saluki

Pablo has recently come into rescue with us and as you can see from his pictures he is gorgeous loves tummy rubs. He is still young so is playful and would love to live with a well-matched canine companion to run around with. He walks well on the lead but has no real training at the moment so would benefit from further training within the home.

Bailey

Bailey

16-months-old, male

Labrador X Ridgeback

Bailey is young and excitable and is looking for an active home with people who are around most of the day, he craves human attention and if left for long periods can get upset and misbehave. He knows how to sit, give his paw and lie down but could benefit from further training on and off lead. He can live with children but due his size and bounciness only older children, he could also live with a well-matched canine companion.
